GPS Device common questions:
1. Why is my locator offline?
If your device is offline, this means your device has been online before, you can check below points:
1). Please check if the sim card in the tracker still has data traffic and have you configured the APN;
2). Please check if the APN you configured is exact correct. You know any name you used to configure the APN the device will reply ""apn ok"", but only when the APN is match with the sim card in the tracker, that just means the APN configured successfully;
3). Please check if the sim card still has enough balance left.
2. If this product need work with SIM card?
Yes, our product must work with a SIM card, and the SIM card must meet the following conditions:
1). The SIM card network version must match the product network version;
2). The sim card must remove the PIN code;
3). Please make sure the sim card has enough balance left;
4). If you want to real-time track the device on google maps then the sim card must enable the internet data traffic;
5). If you want to configure the tracker via SMS, then also please enable the caller ID display function.
3. When I charge the device, why the led indicator is still off ?
If the device has full battery, the led indicator will not turn on if you charge it.
4. Why is there no response when sending instructions to the locator via SMS?
It may be caused by the following factors:
1) If the device has no mobile signal or is powered off, you can dial the SIM card number on the device to see if there is a normal connection sound;
2) Check if the card has enabled SMS function;
3) Check if there are too many SMS stored on the card;
4) Perhaps there is a delay in the SMS gateway.
5. What should I do if the GPS positioning signal is weak?
1) Check the installation position. When installing a GPS locator, ensure that the signal is unobstructed. Install the GPS locator with the front facing upwards, and there should be no metal objects blocking the antenna above, such as metal insulation or windshield.
2) Stay away from GPS signal blind spots such as tunnels, basements, and underground parking lots.
3) If the antenna is damaged, it can also cause a decrease in sensitivity of the GPS module or a malfunction of the GSM module, resulting in weak signals. Need to contact customer service promptly for repair.
6. Does MiCODUS tracking device support customization?
Support, we support customizing logos, appearances, chips, functions, and more.
7. Where can wired car locators be installed?
1). Below the front passenger dashboard (most commonly).
2). Near the safety box under the steering wheel.
3). Inside the center console
4). Under the seat
5). Inside the interior panels on both sides of the trunk or in the spare tire compartmentIf you are not familiar with automotive circuits, please be sure to have a professional install them.
8. Can the GPS tracker be used globally?
Yes, as long as the device supports the local cellular network frequency and there is an available satellite signal, the GPS tracker can be used worldwide.
9. What protocols do your devices use?
Our products are using TQ and JT808 protocols. MV710,MV720,MV730,MV740,MV760,MV730G,MV790G,MV33,MV33G are using TQ protocol, the other models are using JT808 protocol.
Software common questions:
1. Can I manage multiple devices via single account?
Yes, no problem! Our tracking platform has two kinds of accounts: "Distributor" and "End User".
1). If you are an end user and want to manage multiple devices together, then you can register the account directly via our tracking platform www.micodus.net or our APP: micodus, and add all your devices in your account yourself.
2). If you are our distributor we will create "Distributor" account for you, all the devices you ordered from us will be added in your account before shipment, and with "Distributor" account you will have the rights to create sub-accounts for their customers, thanks!
2. Why the location which displayed on google maps has error with my real location?
According this situation, there are two possible situations:
1). GPS tracker supports 3 positioning ways: GPS, LBS and WiFi, most GPS tracker supports GPS and LBS positioning ways, some also supports WiFi positioning, different positioning ways have different accuracy:
GPS accuracy: 5-10m; WiFi accuracy: 0-50m; LBS accuracy: 100-2000m;
So if your location is not accurate, please check if your device doesn't have GPS signal and positioning via LBS or WiFi;
2). Please adjust the data upload interval, if the data upload interval is long, the current position which you see should be the previous upload position not the realtime position, so you need short the upload interval to let the device upload data more frequencyly.
3. How is the platform charged?
Purchasing our product allows for lifetime free use or one-year free use of the platform. After the one-year free platform expires, you need to purchase a pass from customer service.
The annual pass for each device is $3.
The lifetime pass for each device is $7.
4. How many positioning systems does MiCODUS tracking device support?
Universal support for GPS, Beidou, and GLONASS, with a few additional supports for WIFI and Galileo, QZSS, SBA.
5. Does the MiCODUS software platform support customization?
Support, we support customizing logos, domains, homepages, and apps.
6. Does the tracking platform support multiple languages?
Yes, our tracking platform supports multiple languages, allowing users to select their preferred language.
7. Can other brands of devices use your platform?
Most devices can use our platform, but ultimately it depends on whether the protocol can be successfully integrated.
8. Can I test your platform?

9. How many devices can I add to your platform?
Currently, there is no limit on the number of devices that can be added.
Function common questions
1. How to set up a geofence?
Use the MiCODUS app or web platform to set up a geofence. When the device enters or leaves the designated area, the system will send an alert automatically.
2. How long can I view historical tracking data?
Our platform allows viewing of up to 180 days of historical tracking data.
3. How to operate fuel cut-off?
Please ensure that the device is powered on and online.
Method 1: Open the MiCODUS tracking platform - click on "Instructions" - click on "Cut off fuel".
Method 2: Send a SMS command "Relay, 1 #" to the number in the device through the center number. Please note that different device commands may vary, please refer to the product manual.
4. Why hasn't the vibration alarm been triggered?
1). The device is equipped with a 3-axis sensor, which may not detect even slight vibrations.
2). The sensitivity value is too high, and the sensitivity can be adjusted within the range of 1-9. The lower the value, the higher the sensitivity.
3). Please ensure that the device is in the armed state and stationary for more than 5 minutes before triggering the alarm normally.
5. Can I adjust the positioning frequency of the tracker?
Of course, in tracking mode, the position interval is uploaded every 10 seconds by default. You can manually adjust the mode and upload interval you need through the MiCODUS app.
Comprehensive technology questions
1. How to ensure the security of the positioning data? Will my vehicle information be leaked?
We adopt advanced encryption technology for data transmission and storage. The device is bound to a unique account, and only authorized users can view the data. We promise not to disclose any user information and vehicle data to third parties without permission.
2. Do you provide API and SDK?
No, we do not support API or SDK currently.
3. Do you provide SIM cards?
Yes, we provide GPS-compatible Spionlink SIM cards with a one-year validity period.
4. How much data does the SIM card consume?
Our Spionlink SIM card provides 30MB per month and is valid for one year. Renewal is available upon expiration.
